GLIAC Releases Women's Golf Postseason Awards

ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference released their postseason awards for the 2025-26 women's golf season Thursday morning. Six Lakers populated the list, the most of any team, with five earning first-team honors, including June Hsiao being named the league's Freshman of the Year.
 
June Hsiao has been named the GLIAC Freshman Women's Golfer of the Year. She is the 13th player in program history to earn the honor. She had an average score of 76 per round, carding a low round of 70. She had six rounds of par or better, making 48 birdies in her rounds. Claiming five top 10 finishes this season, winning the Warrior Invitational. Hsiao is currently ranked as the 80th best golfer in the country.
 
Joining Hsiao on the first team were Rachael Krieger, Charlotte Goersch, Lea Stotz, and Evelyn Park. Heida Rafnsdottir earned second team honors.
 
This is the fourth All-GLIAC honor in Krieger's career, and the second straight season she has been named to the first team. This year, the senior has made 73 birdies and two eagles across her 33 rounds. Krieger accumulated six top 10 finishes, with five of those being top five endings. She has an average score of 76.3, carding two rounds of par or below.
 
For the second straight season, Goersch earned First-Team All-GLIAC honors. The sophomore shot five rounds under par, making 77 birdies and two eagles. Her average round score of 75.3 was second-best on the team. She is currently ranked 56th in the country. A three-time runner-up finisher this season, Goersch tallied six top 10 tournament placements throughout the season.
 
Stotz and Park are both earning their first ever All-GLIAC selections, both getting first team nods. Stotz was the Lakers' best golfer this season, shooting a team-low 75.1 scoring average. She carded eight rounds of par or better, sinking 73 birdies. The sophomore is currently the 43rd ranked golfer in Division II. Stotz picked up her first collegiate win at the Bulldog Invitational, one of nine top 10 finishes on the season.
 
Junior Evelyn Park put together her best season as a Laker. Park made 39 birdies, averaging a round score of 78.1. She carded two rounds of par or below this season. Park recorded three top 10 finishes, along with two more in the top 20.
 
Rounding out the awards for GVSU was freshman Heida Rafnsdottir getting named to the second team. Rafnsdottir picked up her first collegiate win in the regular season finale at the UMSL Spring Invitational. That was one of four top 20 finishes she had this season. She made 53 birdies, totaling two rounds of par or better.
