ALLENDALE, MICH. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team will play this weekend in the NCAA Regional tournament, featuring teams from the Midwest and Central regions. The teams will play from Thursday through Saturday in Big Rapids.

This year's Regional Tournament will be played at Katke Golf Club in Big Rapids, Michigan. The three-day event will feature 18 holes per day to determine what teams and individuals will advance to the National Championships.
There are 20 total teams playing, with eight individuals playing by themselves. The top three finishers are guaranteed to move on to Nationals, as well as the top two individuals from non-advancing teams. GVSU is the highest ranked team in the field, entering ranked number five. There are two other teams ranked in the top 25, with Central Oklahoma ranked seventh, and Harding is 20
th. There are seven other teams ranked between 25 and 40 in the national rankings.
Playing for the Lakers this weekend will be

Manuel Cue Vargas,
Andrew Gwilliams,
Charlie Cooley, and
Ryan Gallagher.
Maverick Conaway will be there as a sub, able to be placed into the lineup for anyone at the end of a round. They will tee off starting at 10:42, the other four players will tee off every 12 minutes. GVSU is paired with Findlay and Central Oklahoma.
Grand Valley State won the GLIAC Tournament to punch their ticket to their 24
th regional tournament in program history. They will look to advance to Nationals for the seventh time, and the first time since 2024.
