ALLENDALE – The Grand Valley State softball team is back home for a pair of GLIAC doubleheaders against Davenport and Ferris State. The Lakers will host the Panthers on Saturday, March 28
th at 2:00 PM and the Bulldogs on Sunday, March 29
th at 1:00 PM.

GVSU enters the weekend with an 11-13 overall record and 1-1 GLIAC mark. The Lakers opened their home schedule on Tuesday with a nonconference doubleheader split against Lewis. GVSU won game one 3-1 before falling in game two 6-5.
Karli Dorr picked up her team leading fourth win in the circle in game one after tossing all seven innings allowing just one run with seven strikeouts.
Kylee Hoebeke launched her first collegiate home run to help the Laker offense.
Camryn Hall recorded four hits in the doubleheader against Lewis and leads the Lakers with a .421 batting average with 32 hits, 14 runs scored and 12 runs batted in.
Elizabeth Wesoloski is hitting .400 on the season with three doubles, six runs scored and a team leading 13 runs batted in.
Faith Edwards leads the Lakers with 15 runs scored and seven doubles on the season while hitting .342 on the season. Pitcher
Karli Dorr has posted four wins and leads the Lakers with 52 strikeouts. The Lakers lead the GLIAC with a 2.59 team ERA led by freshman
Allison Wright who has posted a 1.68 ERA in six appearances.
Davenport is 6-20 on the season and 2-2 in the GLIAC. The Panthers swept Wayne State to open GLIAC play before falling in both games to Saginaw Valley State last weekend. Davenport is hitting .243 as a team led by Chloe Bruman who is hitting .346 with 18 hits and 13 runs scored. Alaina Schwanke leads the Panthers with 26 hits, 15 RBI's and five doubles. Hannah Tahaney has posted a 3.77 ERA for Davenport in 55.2 innings pitched with 47 strikeouts.
Ferris State is 16-13 on the season and 2-2 in the GLIAC. The Bulldogs opened their GLIAC schedule with a doubleheader sweep against Wayne State before getting swept by Saginaw Valley State. On the season, Ferris State is hitting .282 as a team and has posted a 4.07 team ERA. Ava Gardner is hitting .393 with six doubles, five home runs and 23 runs batted in. Alexis Kozlowski has notched a .371 batting average with 33 hits, 24 runs batted in and 20 runs scored. Cecelia Bell has posted a 3.56 ERA in the circle for Ferris State in 72.2 innings pitched with 44 strikeouts.
