HOLLAND, Mich. – The men's and women's teams had another great day of competition at the 2026 GLIAC Championships in Holland, Michigan. The women hold a strong position in first with a score of 530 and then men hold their position in first also with a score of 411.
Avery Rottier touched the wall in 56.28 in the 100 fly to take third place for the Lakers and bring home a medal.
Katie O'Connell broke the GLIAC meet record with a time of 4:17.12 as she took home another GLIAC Championship title.
Lucy Hedley touched the wall in 1:47.37 to take first place for the Lakers and earn another GLIAC Championship medal. Angelica Angilletta grabbed second place with a time of 1:50.58 to bring home the silver medal.
Olivia Kutsche claimed first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 444.10. Macy Polasek took third place to earn the bronze medal with a score of 425.20.
The women's 400 medley relay team touched the wall in 3:42.80 to win the GLIAC Championship. Members of the relay included Rottier, Hedley, Proietti, and Geiger.
On the men's side, Keiran Rahmaan grabbed first place in the 100 fly with a time of 47.23 to earn his first GLIAC Championship as a Laker. Thomas Ferguson took third place to bring home a medal with a time of 1:37.38.
Matti Gaebler earned the bronze medal in the 400 IM with a time of 3:56.55, bringing home a medal as a freshman.
Evan Scotto DiVetta touched the wall in 1:36.82 to take first place for the Lakers and earn his first GLIAC Championship medal of the meet.
The men's 400 medley relay team earned a first-place podium finish with a time of 3:10.70. Members of the relay included Abdelkarim, Scotto DiVetta, Rahmaan, and Goh.
