ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) hosted a coaches conference on Thursday, February 25, 2026. A total of 30 women's wrestlers were recognized across five teams, with seven honorees representing the Grand Valley State women's wrestling team.
The Lakers also earned the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Team Award for the 2025–26 season. At the end of the academic year, one athlete will receive the individual sportsmanship award. Katie Lange has been nominated for the honor after distinguishing herself through exemplary sportsmanship and ethical conduct. She is also required to be in good academic standing and demonstrate strong citizenship off the mat.

Below are the results for the GLVC honors, including First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention selections:
Second Team All-GLVC

Sage Mortimer is a senior for the Lakers and competes in the 110-pound weight class, where she is currently ranked second. She holds an 18-1 overall record for the 2025–2026 season, including a 13-1 dual record. Mortimer has recorded eight falls on the season. She was the Regional Champion in her weight class.

Katie Lange is a senior for the Lakers and competes in the 138-pound weight class, where she is currently ranked first. She holds a 20-1 overall record and an 11-1 dual record, with 12 technical falls on the season. She was the Regional Champion in her weight class.

Sabrina Nauss is a sophomore who competes in the 207-pound weight class and is currently ranked No. 4. She holds a 20-4 overall record with a 7-3 dual record. Nauss has tallied 12 pins this season, four of which came at the Regional tournament. She was the Regional Champion in her weight class.
All-GLVC Third Team

Aspen Blasko is a sophomore who competes in the 124-pound weight class and is currently ranked fifth heading into Nationals. She holds a 23-9 record this season, recording eight pins, six technical falls, and six decision wins. Blasko's fastest pin of the season came in 0:47 seconds.

Margaret Buurma is a freshman competing in the 145-pound weight class for the Lakers, where she is currently ranked ninth. In her first collegiate season, she clinched her spot at Nationals. Buurma holds a 21-11 record with nine pins, seven technical falls, and six decision wins.

Noelle Gaffney is a junior in the 160-pound weight class and is currently ranked ninth for the Lakers. She holds a 29-12 overall record with 10 decision wins and 10 technical fall victories. Gaffney was a runner-up at her first Regional tournament and secured her spot at Nationals.

Maddison Ward is a freshman who competes in the 180-pound weight class for the Lakers. She finished her season with a 19-11 overall record and a 3-3 dual record, recording 12 pins, five technical falls, and two decision wins.
