CORALVILLE, Iowa. — The Grand Valley State women's wrestling team took home the fourth-place trophy at the inaugural 2026 NCAA Women's Wrestling National Championship. As only a second-year program, the Lakers had a national champion, three national runner-ups, and seven total All-Americans.
Katie Lange was crowned the national champion in the 138-pound weight class. She went 4–0 throughout the two-day tournament. Her match-by-match results are below. Lange ended her career as a three-time national champion and three-time All-American, finishing with a career record of 87–8. Lange also made history by becoming the first-ever national champion in NCAA women's wrestling.
