Swim & DIve Finished Day One Of The National Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, IND.-  The Lakers had a great opening day at the 2025 Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The team brought seven divers, and four will continue on to the next couple of days of competition.

The women's 800 free relay touched the wall at 7:17.83, securing fourth place in Nationals. Members of this event were Lucy Hedley, Vittoria Proietti, Angelica Angilletta, and Katie O'Connell. This group broke the school record by almost six seconds, a record that had stood for nearly 10 years.

The men's 800 free relay team included Matt Bosch, Austin Millard, Anton Rauch, and Carsyn Christoffel. They were placed in the sixth lane and finished with a time of 6:28.56, taking sixth place for the Lakers.

Tomorrow will mark the second day of the Championship, with events including the 200 IM, 50 free, 1000 free, women's 1-meter dive, and the 200 medley relay.
