ALLENDALE, Mich.- The Grand Valley State Lakers dive team held a diving invite against Albion, Calvin, and Saginaw Valley State earlier this afternoon at the GVSU Fieldhouse Pool.
On the women's side, Maddie Kooistra claimed first place in the 1-meter dive with a score of 497.20 in just 6 dives, setting a new pool record for the Lakers. Bella Larson earned second place for the Lakers in the 1-meter dive with a score of 260.15 over 11 dives. Larson took first place in the 3 mtr. Dive over 6 dives with a score of 246.30.
On the men's side, Austin Clise took first place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 324.40 in 6 dives, earning his first NCAA qualifying score. Aidan Busignani claimed second place in the 3-meter dive with a score of 263.35 in 6 dives.Â
Carter Wood snagged the first place win with a score of 315.45 in the 1 mtr. Dive over 6 dives. Mathew Blommel grabbed the first place spot in the 1 mtr. Dive with a score of 480.90 over 11 dives for the Lakers.Â
