CLERMONT, Fla. – The Grand Valley State softball team travels to Florida for the spring games beginning tomorrow (March 1) morning at NTC Legends Way n Clermont, Florida. The Lakers will play 12 games over seven days in the sunshine state.

GVSU travels to the sunshine state with a 2-6 record on the season. The Lakers went 2-4 last week at the Lewis Dome Tournament in Rosemont, Illinois. They defeated Minnesota State Moorhead 2-0 and Minnesota Duluth 2-0.
Senior infielder
Morgan Spicer leads the team with a .318 batting average with seven hits, two triples, and two doubles. Spicer is tied for the team lead with three runs scored and three RBI's.
MaryJane Goodman has recorded six hits to start the season with two runs scored and an RBI.
Eliana Eiland has added five hits and is tied for the team lead with three runs scored.
Nevaeh Ingram leads GVSU with a 2.10 ERA in 20 innings pitched with 15 strikeouts. Ingram tossed a complete game shutout allowing just one hit in the win over Minnesota State with a season high eight strikeouts.
Karli Dorr tossed her first complete game shutout of her career in the 2-0 win over Minnesota State Moorhead with 10 strikeouts.
