ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Grand Valley State softball team is back on the diamond this weekend when they travel to Rosemont, Illinois for the Lewis Dome Tournament. The Lakers will play six games beginning tomorrow (Feb. 20) afternoon at 2:30 PM against Minnesota State Moorhead.

The Lakers opened the 2025 season last week with a doubleheader against Findlay in Brighton, Michigan. GVSU fell 6-1 in game one before dropping game two 8-2. Kylie Sinal went 2-4 with a double and two walks in the two games. Morgan Spicer hit a double in game one and a triple in game two. 
 
In the circle, Christine Duch led GVSU with four strikeouts in three innings pitched. Karli Dorr made her collegiate debut tossing four innings allowing no earned runs with two strikeouts and zero walks.
