Kacy Lauer was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week announced by the league office today. Lauer has earned offensive player of the week honors for the first time in her career.
Lauer scored two goals over the weekend in wins over Davenport and Purdue Northwest. She scored the game-winning goal in the 65th minute in the 1-0 shutout win over Davenport. She followed it up by opening the scoring in the third minute in the 2-1 win against Purdue Northwest. The senior played all 90 minutes in both wins to help the Lakers claim the GLIAC regular season championship. Lauer has now scored a career high six goals on the season which ranks second on the team. She increased her goal streak to three games and point streak to four games.
