Grand Valley State hosted the first-ever Laker Duals Friday (Nov. 21) at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena. GVSU entertained the likes of nationally-ranked St. Cloud State, Glenville State and Findlay. The Lakers claimed a 23-14 victory over Findlay, dropped a 31-13 decision to St. Cloud State and closed with a 22-19 loss to Glenville State that came down to the final match. GVSU will next be in action at the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open (Dec. 6) and the Midwest Classic (Dec. 13-14) in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sophomore #4 Brayden Mirjavadi went 3-0 at 197, including a major decision over #3 Nick Johnson of Glenville State, while senior #5 Josh Kenny went 2-0, including a 7-0 win over #3 Bryce Dagel of St. Cloud State. Bradley Mayse went 2-1 at 184.
