ALLENDALE, MICH. – The GVSU women's lacrosse team rounds out their regular season home schedule Friday night by taking on rival Davenport. Friday will also be the team's Morgan's Message dedication game, as they will be partner with the organization to help athletes dealing with mental health issues.

Morgan's Message
This past weekend, GVSU took down Concordia-St. Paul and Northern Michigan in dominating fashion, winning 18-4 on Friday, then 13-2 on Sunday.
Kaylyn Cater made 15 saves over the weekend to be named GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
Maddy Champagne was the offensive recipient, as she put up nine points on five goals and four assists.
Sydney Stone scored six time on the weekend, with both
Ella Boose and
Jillian Bingman scoring four times. The Laker defense caused 19 turnovers and grabbed 49 groundballs in the two games and lowered their nation leading scoring defense to 4.79 goals against.
Davenport won their first conference game since 2022 on Sunday, defeating Concordia-St. Paul 12-9. The win moved them back to .500 on the year at 6-6 and brought them to 1-3 in league play. DU goalkeeper Maisy Latus is second in the conference in both saves (118) and save percentage (45.9). they are led in scoring by Maddy Haynes with 44 points and a team-leading 36 goals. In their three matchups, the Lakers outscored them 66-17, beating them twice in the regular season and then once again in the GLIAC Tournament semifinals.
