ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The No. 7 Grand Valley State softball team travels to face regional foe Lewis in a nonconference doubleheader Wednesday (Mar. 27) afternoon. First pitch for game one is set for 2:00 PM ET with game two to follow approximately 30 minutes after game one. 
 
GVSU is coming off a doubleheader sweep at Purdue Northwest to begin the GLIAC schedule. The Lakers improved to 18-5 on the season and 2-0 in GLIAC play. Hannah Hollister was named the GLIAC Player of the Week after notching a .500 batting average over the two games at Purdue Northwest and stole four bases. Kylie Swierkos was named the GLIAC Pitcher of the Week after tossing a complete game shutout allowing just four hits with two strikeouts and no walks. 
 
Kelsey Komorous leads the Lakers and ranks second in the GLIAC with a .435 batting average and 29 RBI's. Komrous has recorded a team leading 30 hits, nine doubles, and three home runs with a 1.19 OPS. Hannah Hollister has notched a .418 batting average which ranks fifth in the GLIAC. Hollister leads the team with 28 runs scored and is first in the GLIAC with a perfect 21-21 on stolen base attempts. 
 
Kylie Swierkos leads the Laker pitching staff and is first in the GLIAC with a 0.82 ERA. Swierkos has posted a 4-1 record in the circle and has tossed four complete games striking out 18 batters in 34 innings pitched. Genesis Eggart is 6-1 this season and is second with a 0.83 ERA. Eggart leads the team with 45 strikeouts in 42 innings pitched.
 
Lewis enters Wednesday's doubleheader with a 22-8 overall record and 8-0 conference mark. The Flyers have won 11 straight games including seven shutouts during this span. Lewis is hitting .314 as a team and have outscored their opponents 133-43. 
 
Gabi Nilles leads the Flyers with a .386 batting average and eight doubles. Nilles has scored 14 runs and has driven in 15 runs. Anna Frafjord has notched a .370 battign average with 27 hits, 22 RBI, 14 runs scored, and five home runs. Jalyn Powell is hitting .355 with a team leading 33 hits, 20 RBI's, and 12 runs scored. 
 
Allie Wondrasek leads the Flyers pitching staff with a 1.06 ERA. Wondrasek has posted a 6-0 record in the circle with seven complete games and 43 strikeouts. Delaney Garden has recorded a 10-2 record with a 1.11 ERA with 12 complete games. Garden has tossed 88.2 innings pitched and leads the team with 111 strikeouts.
