LENOIR CITY, TENN. – The GVSU men's golf team was down in the Volunteer State for the Tennessee River Rumble. After the first two rounds the Lakers are in 13^th, looking to move up with one more round to play.

North Georgia leads the way at fourteen under, followed by host Lincoln Memorial three strokes back of them at -11. USC Aiken is in third, carding a nine under. In fourth-place is Union at four under, with Wingate in fifth at three over. The Lakers shot rounds of 299 and 294 to sit at +17.
 
Drew Coble and Nick Krueger are both tied at 26^th, as they have both shot +1 over the first two rounds. Coble had rounds of 73 (+1) and 72 (E), making five birdies along the way. Krueger made seven birdies over his rounds of 72 and 73. In a tie for 54^th is Manuel Cue, as he had rounds of 77 (+5) and 73 (+1), to card a +6. He made three birdies on the day. With five birdies over his rounds of 77 (+5) and 76 (+4), Charlie Cooley is tied for 74^th at +9. Bryce Wheeler had rounds of 78 (+6) and 80 (+8), sitting at fourteen over for the tournament in a tie for 95^th.
 
The Lakers play the final round the tournament tomorrow.
