Box Score 2 Game 1 – Grand Valley State picked up the 5-3 victory over Indianapolis in game one of a Saturday twinbill. Indianapolis scored a pair of unearned runs in the bottom of the first, but the Lakers answered with two runs in the top of the second on no hits. 1B

Mansager reached first on a throwing error by the third baseman and Rydquist advanced to third. Rydquist scored on a groundout from VanEnkevort and Mansager scored on a double by SS

Nick Rutkowski (2-0) picked up the win, yieldin two unearned runs on four hits in 6.0 innings of work. Junior
Michael Riley picked up his first save as a Laker, yielding one run on three hits in 3.0 innings of work. Riley tallied three strikeouts.
VanEnkenvort was 0-1 with two RBI and two walks, while Dykstra, Guciardo and Schuman each collected a hit and rove in a run.
Game 2 – Indianapolis claimed an 8-6 victory over the Lakers heading into the third and final game of the series Sunday at 12 noon. The Greyhounds scored two in the bottom of the first inning, but the Lakers scored a single run in the top of the second and two more in the top of the fourth to take a 3-2 lead. However, Indianapolis added three in the bottom half of the fourth and two more in the fifth to take a 7-5 lead. The Laker scored single runs in the eighth and ninth for the final margin.
