GVSU Swim & Dive Completes Day Four At NCAA Championships

Men are 6th with 156 points

Grand Valley State completed day four at the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The Laker men are sixth with 156 points, while the women are 17th with 50 points. The fifth and final day will begin with 10:00 am prelims at the Spire Aquatic Center. Finals are set for 5:30 p.m.
 
Men
 
500 Free – Senior Eric Hieber finished 16th with a time of 4:30.44, while Matthew Lane touched 33rd(4:32.98). 
 
100 Back – Roger Miret Sala finished 13th with a time of 47.98, while Thomas Zoldowski finished 28th with a time of 49.11.
 
100 Breast – Anrew Goh finished 16th in the 100 breast with a time of 54.19.
 
200 Fly – Jon Kantzenbach finished 17th in the 200 fly with a time of 1:47.89
 
200 FR – The relay team of Matt Bosch, Evan Scotto DiVetta, Brennan Neitzel and Roger Miret Sala set a varsity record with a time 1:18.73 which was good for fifth. 

3-Meter Diving - Matthew Blommel finished 8th with a score of 498.50, while Jackson Rodriguez finished 13th (450.10).
 
 
 
Women 
 
500 Free – Katie O'Connell finished 37th with a time of 5:00.90.
 
100 Breast – Sara Alvarez finished 23rd with a time of 1:04.97, followed by Natalia Hermanowska who touched 28th (1:05.33) and Alysa Wager who finished 29th (1:05.48).
 
200 Fly – Kelly Shortall touched 18th (2:03.24) and Gai Tomaselli finished 27th (2:05.70)
 
200 FR – The relay team of Lucy Hedley, Alysa Wager, Kiersten Harmon and Tina Winter finished 14th with a time of 1:33.48.
