GVSU Men And Women Complete Day Three At NCAA Swim & Dive Championships

Thursday Final Results

Grand Valley State completed day three at the 2024 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The Laker men are seventh with 107 points, while the women are 15th with 44 points. Day four will begin with 10:00 am prelims at the Spire Aquatic Center. Finals are set for 5:30 p.m.
 
Men
 
200 Free – Matt Bosch turned in an outstanding swim in the 200 free and was just out touched in the final, finishing second with a time of 1:34.89. Marcel Snitko of Nova Southeastern hit the wall in 1:34.64. Senior Eric Hieber finished 13th for the Lakers with a time of 1:37.03, while fellow senior Roger Miret Sala finished 19th (1:37.22).
 
100 Fly – Brennan Neitzel finished 28th with a time of 48.13.
 
400 IM – Matthew Lane finished 29th, touching the wall in 4:01.79. 
 
400 Medley Relay - The relay team of Roger Miret Sala, Andrew Goh, Brennan Neitzel and Matt Bosch finished seventh with a time of 3:10.38. 
 
 
 
Women 
 
200 Free – Lucy Hedley reached the final and finished seventh with a time of 1:49.40.
 
100 Fly – Alyssa Wager finished 11th with a time of 54.68.
 
400 IM  - Katie O'Connell tallied a 12th-place finish with a time of 4:22.57, while Sara Alvarez hit the wall in 4:26.08 (18th). 
 
3-Meter Diving – Maddie Kooistra finished ninth with a score of 451.80
 
400 Medley Relay – The relay team of Vittoria Proietti, Sara Alvarez, Alysa Wager and Lucy Hedley finished 18th with a time of 3:46.94.
