The #4 Grand Valley State men and #6 women continued to build toward a GLIAC Swimming & Diving Championship sweep on Sunday (Feb. 11) at the Holland Aquatic Center. The GVSU men have a three-day total of 692 points, well ahead of second-place Northern Michigan's total of 482.5. Wayne State is third with 452.5 points. The Laker women have tallied 706.5 points, followed by Wayne State in second (532) and Northern Michigan in third (513.5). The GVSU men are going for a 10th consecutive GLIAC Championship, while the women are looking to go back-to-back. 

Women
500 Free – Lucy Hedley finished sixth and hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 5:00.27, while Katie O'Connell touched seventh and hit the NCAA B cut (5:00.62). Tina Winter finished 14th (5:06.72) and Annabelle Nixon tied for 15th (5:13.08).

100 Back – Freshman Vittoria Proietti finished fourth in a time of 56.31, followed by Alice Persson in fifth (57.04) and Staci Nation in sixth (57.08). Kiersten Harmon touched 12th (58.85) and Angelica Angilletta 16th(1:00.25). 

100 Breast – GVSU goes 2-3-4 as Sara Alvarez hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 1:03.18 and finished second. Alysa Wager hit the NCAA cut and finished third (1:03.73), followed by Liv Geiger in fourth who also hit the NCAA B cut (1:03.88). Natalia Hermanowska touched 10th in a time 1:05.80. 

200 Fly – Sophomore Gaia Tomaselli hit the NCAA B cut and finished third (2:04.25), while freshman Kelly Shortall also hit the NCAA B cut and finished fourth (2:05.10). Senior Sarah Puscas touched seventh (2:07.61). 

800 Free Relay – The relay team of Vittoria Proietti, Katie O'Connell, Sara Alvarez and Lucy Hedley hit the NCAA B cut and finished third in a time of 7:29.12. 

Men
500 Free - Senior Eric Hieber finished second and hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 4:23.63, while junior Austin Millard touched fourth and added a NCAA B cut (4:30.20). Senior Matthew Lane hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 4:31.08.
 
100 Back – Roger Miret Sala hit the NCAA B cut and finished third in a time of 48.15, while Aaron Dies was seventh (48.90) and Thomas Zoldowski eighth (48.99). Brennan Neitzel touched ninth in a time of (48.98). 

100 Breast – Freshman Andrew Goh claimed the GLIAC Championship, broke the GVSU varsity record, freshman record and hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 54.87. Fellow freshman Jona Finn Sue touched 14th(55.82).

200 Fly – Junior Jon Kantzenbach claimed his second consecutive GLIAC 200 fly title and hit the NCAA B cut with a time of 1:47.70. Freshman Milek Mathew hit the NCAA B cut and finished third (1:48.87) and Will Herwig touched 13th (1:51.81). 

3-Meter Diving – Freshman Matthew Blommel claimed the GLIAC title with a score of 443.35, while fellow freshman Jackson Rodriguez finished seventh (399.80). Freshman Cory Shade added a 15th-place finish (357.40). 
 
800 Free Relay – The relay team of Austin Millard, Roger Miret Sala, Eric Hieber and Matt Bosch smashed the GLIAC meet record and hit the NCAA B cut with a time 6:27.78.
