The Lakers moved on with a 15-11 win over top-seeded Regis in yesterday's semifinals. GVSU got four goals from Molly Bursinger and Hailey Crittenden, and three goals from Maddy Champagne and Sydney Stone. Sarah Krause got put in the net to open the second quarter and was a force in the cage, saving 10 shots and helping shut down the Ranger offense. UIndy moved on after holding off Maryville 14-9. The Greyhounds raced out to a 10-3 lead, but the Saints came back to cut it within two early in the fourth quarter. UIndy however, would string three straight goals together to pull away at the end and move one.

The win for GVSU was the second NCAA Tournament win in program history, and they will play for an opportunity to win the first Regional Championship in program history. These two teams met up earlier this season in Allendale, with the Greyhounds barely holding off the Lakers 13-12. Stone scored four times in that game, and Bursinger and Champagne each had three points as well. Since that game, the Lakers are 12-1, scoring 17 goals a game and only allowing just over seven a contest. The hot streak has moved the Lakers to 15-4 this season, with the 15 wins tying for the second most in program history.

UIndy enters the game at 18-2, losing games to Regis and West Chester this season. The Greyhounds are led by seven IWLCA All-Region performers, as Joey Fowler, Audrey Moran, Amy Vegh, and Anna Ziemba were all on the first team, and Quinn Malcolm, Mekayla Montgomery, and Delaney Stahrr were named to the second team. Ziemba, Fowler, Malcolm, and Megan Dunn have all tallied over 70 points this season, and Moran has started all 20 games in net this season, recording 109 saves on a .445 save percentage.
