FINDLAY, OHIO – The Grand Valley women's lacrosse team heads down to Ohio for a Thursday afternoon matchup against the Oilers of Findlay. The game was originally scheduled for Friday, but has gotten rescheduled to Thursday at 1:00pm.

The Lakers are 2-2 to open the season, coming off a split in Colorado last weekend, defeating Colorado Mesa 13-8 and falling to Regis 14-10.
Sydney Stone and
Kylie Waeghe earned GLIAC Player of the Week honors for their performance the past two games. Stone scored seven goals and had one assist, scoring five times in the win over Mesa. Waeghe recorded 10 groundballs and caused four turnovers in the two games. Stone's 10 goals this season are tied for the team lead with
Maddy Champagne and
Kate DeYoung and
Kaylyn Cater has 24 saves in net picking up both wins.
Findlay has started the season 0-4 and they have been outscored 70-18. The Oilers fell to McKendree, Indianapolis, Slippery Rock, and Indiana (Pa.) to open their 2023 campaign. Danielle Dilorenzo leads the team with seven goals, while Olivia Alvarado has five goals. Goalkeeper Rachel Bornstein has 36 saves this season in net. The Lakers have never lost to the Oilers in program history, going a perfect 10-0.
