ALLENDALE—The Grand Valley State softball team travels to Florida for a week full of action at The Spring Games in Clermont, Florida.
 
The Lakers take on 12 teams in the span of seven days in Florida, kicking off with a pair of games on Sunday. GVSU is set to take on Glenville State at 9 a.m. and St. Cloud State at 11:30 a.m. on the opening day of competition.
 
Games will be streamed live on FloSports, which is available via a paid subscription.
 
The Lakers are coming off a 5-0 weekend at the Lewis Dome Tournament to start their season. GVSU run-ruled Walsh and Truman State while also taking down Minnesota Duluth, William Jewell and Winona State.
 
Hannah Beatus was named GLIAC Pitcher of the Week for her performances in Rosemont, Illinois. She threw a no-hitter to start the Lakers' season against Minnesota Duluth. Beatus also closed out the weekend for GVSU with a complete game shutout of Winona State. All-in-all, Beatus tossed 15.2 innings without allowing a run and struck out 22 batters.
 
Morgan Wagner won the GLIAC Player of the Week to give the Lakers a sweep of weekly conference awards. Wagner cleaned up at the plate for GVSU, going 9-for-15, driving in 10 runs and hitting three doubles. She had a pair of three-RBI games, driving in three runs against Walsh and Winona State. In four of GVSU's five games, Wagner had a multi-hit game.
 
The Lakers came in at No. 8 in the Week 3 NFCA Coaches' Poll, which was a four-spot improvement from their Week 2 ranking.
