Grand Valley State senior offensive lineman Garrett Carroll  and senior linebacker Abe Swanson were named Conference Commissioner's Association First-Team All-Americans, while senior offensive lineman Jordan Davis and senior defensive end Christian McCarroll were selected to the CCA All-America Second-Team. Carroll, Swanson and McCarroll become consensus all-americans by being named to multiple all-america teams following the 2023 campaign.

Carroll and Davis anchored the left side of an offensive line that proved to be one of the best in the country.  The Laker offense ranked among the national leaders in scoring (46.9 ppg), rushing (235.6 ypg), total offense (446.4 ypg), passing efficiency (162.85), yards per rush (6.1 ypc) and yards per play (7.2 ypp). Carroll graded out with a 94.7 percent blocking/protection efficiency for the season.
 
McCarroll led all GLIAC defensive lineman with 67 tackles (21 solo/46 assisted), while also leading the GLIAC in tackles for loss with 15.0 (-74) and ranking second in quarterback sacks with 8.0 (-56). He recorded a TFL in nine games and a QB sack in seven games, despite not playing in the second half of two games and the fourth quarter of four additional games. McCarroll was a key figure in a defense that led the nation in QB sacks with 51 and ranked seventh in TFL with 95. For his career McCarroll tallied 151 career tackles, 15.0 QB sacks and 31.5 tackles for loss. 

Swanson, a consensus First-Team All-American in 2022, tallied a team-high 90 tackles (25 solo/65 assisted) despite not playing in the second half of two games and the fourth quarter of four additional games. He recorded 9.5 tackles for loss (-48), 5.0 QB sacks (-37), picked off three passes, recovered one fumble, forced two fumbles and tallied five QB hurries. In addition, Swanson anchored one of the top defenses in the country that ranked among the national leaders in points yielded per game (16.1), rushing yards yielded (70.8) and total defense (274.5). Swanson completed his career ranked ninth all-time in total tackles with 311, while also recording 13.0 QB sacks and 30.0 tackles for loss. 

Grand Valley State (11-2) claimed the GLIAC Championship for the second consecutive year (2022 - 2023) and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinal for the second consecutive year.
