DEARBORN, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's golf team tied for 12th scoring +17 (305) at the NCAA DII Championship at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Mich. The Lakers are five strokes out from eighth-place Central Missouri carding 300 (+12). The top eight teams will move onto match-play after three rounds of stroke play. Indianapolis leads the tournament carding 288 (E), followed by Barry in second at 290 (+2), and Colorado St. - Pueblo in third carding 295 (+7).

Charles DeLong is currently tied for fifth scoring one-under par (71). DeLong notched four birdies throughout the first 18-holes and is two strokes out from first place. He is currently averaging even par on par 3s and 4s, and one-under on par 5s. Drew Coble is tied for 33rd carding 75 (+3). Coble tallied three birdies in the front nine, and one in the back to tie DeLong in the Lakers birdie count. Eric Nunn is tied for 54th carding 77 (+5). Nick Krueger ended the day tied for 94th carding 82 (+10).  Nunn and Krueger shot par on 12 of 18-holes. Tanner Moore is 107 carding 93 (+21). 

The Lakers will tee off tomorrow starting at 8:25 a.m. paired with Barry and Colorado St. - Pueblo.
