AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Grand Valley State men's golf team is in third after the first 18-holes of the GLIAC Men's Golf Championships at the par 71 6,742-yards Stoatin Brae Golf Course. The Lakers carded four-over par (288) in the first round with three golfers sitting within the top-10. Davenport leads the event at 281 (-3).
Charles DeLong leads the Lakers after day one tied for second scoring two-under par (69). DeLong tallied three birdies throughout the course and went even par on 14 holes.
Nick Krueger and
Tanner Moore are tied for ninth carding 72 (+1). Krueger and Moore tied DeLong in the Lakers' birdie count with three each in the first 18 holes.
Drew Coble and
Eric Nunn scored four-over par (75) and are tied for 23rd. Day Two of the GLIAC Championships will begin at 10:00 a.m., top four teams will move on to the semifinals.
