URBANA, Ohio -
Charles DeLong won the Bill Blazer Memorial on Sunday, April 10 in Urbana, Ohio at the Urbana Country Club carding 140 (-4). DeLong started day two of the tournament tied for first at even par (72) after one round of golf. He tallied five birdies in the second round and an eagle on a par 4 325-yard 13th hole to secure the victory scoring four-under par (68) in the second round. The Lakers ended the two day tournament in second carding 584 (+8), Southern Indiana placed first carding 581 (+5).Â
Nick Krueger placed sixth carding 145 (+1). Krueger scored the third eagle of the day for the Lakers on a par 5 493-yard 17th hole. He notched four birdies in the second round scoring two-under par (70), he carded 75 (+3) in the first round. Â
Eric Nunn tallied the first eagle of the day for the Lakers on a par 4 303-yards fifth hole. Nunn finished tied for 17th carding 149 (+5). On par 5s, he made six birdies and went even par on two averaging the tournament low 4.25 (-6).Â
Drew Coble finished tied for 20th scoring six-over par (150). Coble tallied five birdies in the second round, but was set back by a triple bogey on the 18th hole finishing the second round at two-over par (74). He carried over a first-round score of four-over par (76).
Tanner Moore came in fifth for the Lakers carding 14-over par (158) placing tied for 56th overall.Â
Individually,
Braden Falk placed T-52 carding 157 (+13).Â
The Lakers ended the regular season with five top-three finishes, including two tournament wins throughout the 2021-22 schedule. DeLong ended the regular season with his third tournament win of the year. The Lakers will now enter their championship season starting with the GLIAC Championships on April 15 -17 in Augustana,Mich. at the Stoatin Brae Golf Course.Â
