THE GAME
#1 Grand Valley State will square off against #18 Davenport Saturday (Nov. 12) in a GLIAC Championship road tilt. Kickoff is set for 12 noon.
THE SERIES
Grand Valley State leads the all-time series with Davenport by a 4-0 margin. GVSU won the 2021 meeting in dominating fashion, 42-0 in Allendale. The Lakers claimed the 2019 meeting 27-7 in a monsoon. GVSU won the 2018 matchup 19-14 at Davenport and won the first meeting between the programs in Allendale (2017) by a 48-0 score. The Lakers have outscored the Panthers 136 (34.0) - 21 (5.25) in four meetings with two shutouts.Â
LAST WEEK
Grand Valley State led 14-0 at the half and scored 28 second-half points to claim a 42-14 victory. GVSU held Wayne State to 212 yards of total offense, 112 of which came on the final two offensive drives with GVSU leading 42-0. Junior QB
Cade Peterson accounted for 255 yards of total offense (182 passing/73 rushing) and four TDs (2 passing/2 rushing).
