GVSU Women's Golf In Second Place At William Beall Fall Classic

Two Lakers In Top-10 After 36 Holes Of Play

FINDLAY, OHIO – The Grand Valley women's golf team put together their two best rounds of the fall campaign today at the William Beall Fall Classic and are in second place with just 18 holes to play. Olivia Stoll and Julia Sanchez are both in the top-10 for individuals after the first two rounds.
 
After the first two rounds, host Findlay holds the top spot at 593 (+17), followed by the Lakers (+26), who carded season low rounds of 300 and 302. One stroke behind them is Indianapolis (+27), with Missouri-St. Louis (+33) in fourth and Tiffin (+41) rounding out the top five.
 
Olivia Stoll continued her great start to the season, shooting rounds of 71 and 71, and is currently in second place at two under, two strokes behind the leader. Stoll carded six birdies on the day, three in each round. Julia Sanchez is in tenth place after 36 holes, shooting rounds of 75 and 76 for a seven over, while recording three birdies on the day. Paula Badino is currently tied for 16th after recording one birdie and is at ten over, carding rounds of 78 and 76. Megan Miron is tied for 21st at +11, shooting rounds of 76 and 79, while tallying two birdies in each round.
 
"Olivia played great today, and the team shot the lowest two rounds of the season," head coach Rebecca Mailloux remarked. "We are looking forward to competing against Indianapolis and Findlay tomorrow for a chance to win."
