DADE CITY, FL. – The final tournament of the fall season is underway for the Grand Valley women's golf team as they have teed off at the Saint Leo Invitational in Florida. The ladies got through one full round and part of another before it got called for darkness. The second round will be resumed tomorrow at 9am as they will complete that round then play the third round.
Anderson is in the lead after the first day shooting six under par, followed by Lynn University in second just one stroke behind. Barry sits in third place at six over, while University of Tampa is fourth at +14. Florida Southern is in fifth place through Monday's rounds, carding a +15 on the day. Grand Valley is in tenth place with a score of thirty-six over par.
Paula Badino is the top golfer for the GVSU women, as she is tied for 30
th, carding a +6 with four birdies.
Julia Sanchez is tied for 31
st, shooting five birdies on the day for a final score of +7.
Olivia Stoll is tied for 48
th, with a final score of +11, as she recorded six birdies today.
Megan Miron tallied one birdie today, as she tallied a score of +12 and is currently tied for 51
st.
