Grand Valley State senior
Katie Chipman has been named First-Team All-American as selected by the Women's Golf Coaches Association it was announced. Chipman, who led the Lakers to the the semifinals at the 2021 NCAA National Championships, concluded her career as a four-time WGCA All-American.
Chipman earned WGCA All-East Region honors for the fourth time in her career, was named the GLIAC Player of the Year four times and was was a three-time GLIAC Tournament medalist. She tallied a stroke average of 72.50 during her final campaign for the Lakers, including tournament titles in the Findlay Spring Invitational and the GLIAC Tournament. She finished second at the NCAA DII East Regional and recorded four top five finishes and six in the top 11 during her senior campaign. Chipman concluded her career with a 16th-place finish in stroke play at the NCAA DII National Championship.
In addition, Chipman concluded her career second in career wins at GVSU with 13 and owns the top six low 18 round scores in GVSU annals.
