Box Score Grand Valley State dropped a 15-1 decision to Ashland in the second round of the GLIAC Baseball Tournament being held at Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan. GVSU will square off against Wayne State in an elimination at 2 p.m.
Grand Valley State got on the board in the bottom of the first inning on a
Carter Smith single, followed by a sac bunt from
Parker Murdie. 2B
Christian Faust singled to move Smith up to third and DH
Ryan Blake-Jones drove in Smith with a groundout.
Ashland put five across the plate in the top of the third on six hits, added a single run in fifth and eight in the seventh.
