GVSU Men's Tennis Claims 5-2 Win Over Charleston

Box Score Grand Valley State claimed a 5-2 victory over Charleston Sunday (Mar. 7) in West Virginia, improving its overall mark to 2-6. The Lakers will next be in action Friday (Mar. 12) versus Indiana Wesleyan at Grand Rapids Racquet & Fitness. First serve is set for 12 noon. 

Charleston claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The No. 1 doubles team of of Martin Matov and Jack Dausman claimed a 7-6 win at No. 1 doubles. GVSU won five of six singles matches on the afternoon. No. 2 Martin Matov (6-0, 7-6), No. 3 Sean Miller (6-4, 6-3), No. 4 Thomas Oliveira (6-3, 6-4), No. 5 Sebastian Arce (7-6, 6-4) and No. 6 Ignacio Morera-Lucas (6-4, 6-0) claimed straight set wins. No. 1 Jack Dausman dropped a 6-5, 7-5 decision.
