Box Score 2 WILSON, NC - The Grand Valley State baseball team swept Mid Atlantic Christian on Sunday afternoon by scores of 9-1 and 23-1. The 23 runs scored in game two was the most by the Lakers since April, 29 2007 vs. Findlay. GVSU improves their record to 3-2 on the season.

GVSU scored one run in the third, two runs in the fourth, and three runs in the fifth to open up a 6-0 lead. Mid Atlantic would get one back in the sixth before GVSU would score three more runs in the seventh to grow the lead to 9-1.

The Lakers pounded out 26 hits in the lopsided game two victory.
Jonathan Catapano had a team-high four hits, while
Christian Faust,
Nathan Bonter, and
Nathan Logan each had three hits.
Parker Murdie,
Joe Laudont,
Zachary Collins,
Cade Stanton, and
Anthony Cocco all recorded multi-hit games.
Cintorino and
Michael Barno teamed up to throw the final three innings in relief.

The Lakers will be back in action next weekend when they travel to Ohio to take on a pair of Division 1 opponents in Akron and Kent State.
