ALLENDALE, Mich. – After nearly a two-week long hiatus, the No. 9 Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team hosts Concordia-St Paul in the Lakers' first taste of conference action on Thursday (7 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m.).  Following a tough loss to Indianapolis, 9-7, GVSU enters the game with a 3-1 record while CSP sits even at three wins and three losses.Â

The Lakers post an average of 15 goals per game, compared to the Bears' 12.17 average. This season,

Anna Gritter,
Maggie Hammer and
Maddy Champagne have each earned a GLIAC Player of the Week nod, while sophomore
Molly Bursinger collected the IWLCA Player of the Week honor after netting 10 goals through two games.Â

Champagne leads the team in goals (12) and draw controls (19), while Sarah Pierson holds the top spots for the Golden Bears in goals (10), ground balls (13) and draw controls (45), which also lands at the top of the GLIAC.Â

GVSU and CSP last met in 2019 which saw the Lakers capture a 17-4 victory. During the 2018 season, the Lakers posted two 17-point margin of victories, bringing the all-time record between the two teams to 4-0. The Lakers end a three-game home stand against Davenport on Saturday, April 10.Â
