ALLENDALE, Mich. – The Grand Valley State women's lacrosse team will now host former conference-foe, No. 3 Indianapolis, on Sunday (March 21) at 2 p.m. in place of the originally-scheduled Saturday afternoon draw.

The Lakers and Greyhounds last met in the shortened 2020 season where the final favored the Greyhounds, 14-11, moving the all-time record between the two teams to four wins apiece.  Both teams enter the game with an unbeaten record – GVSU (3-0), UIndy (4-0).

GVSU earned a pair of weekly honors this week, including Molly Burisnger's IWLCA Offensive Player of the Week nod and Anna Gritter's GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week mention.  Bursinger posted a five-goal game in each win against Findlay (18-4) and Indiana Pa. (14-8), marking her career-high.  The sophomore midfielder also posted 15 draw controls and caused four turnovers.  Gritter led the Laker defense to allow just 12 goals over two games and caused four turnovers while picking up six ground balls.

Sunday's game features a top-10 match-up in the No. 3 ranked Greyhounds and No. 10 ranked Lakers.  Under head coach Mackenzie Lawler's tutelage, GVSU posts a 2-3 record against ranked opponents in the regular season.

Minimum spectator capacity will be allowed for GVSU home events.  More information on how to purchase tickets can be found at the link below.
