The Grand Valley State men's golf team will open play at the Music City Invitational at Hermitage Golf Club in Nashville, Tenn. Monday (Mar. 15) to open the 2021 campaign. The Lakers, returning the nations top recruiting class in 2019, will square off against the likes of the top teams in the Midwest. 

"We are excited to tee it up for the first time against outside competition," said head coach Gary Bissell. "We have to come out playing well because as a whole the GLIAC is behind the other teams in the region by not playing in the fall." 

The lineup for the Lakers will feature four freshmen and a junior. The 2020 GLIAC Freshman of the Year, Charles DeLong, returns as one of the top players in the country, while fellow freshmen, Nick Krueger and Drew Coble also earned All-GLIAC honors in 2020. Freshman Alex Jordan and junior Eric Nunn round out the Grand Valley State lineup.
