WILLIAMSBURG, Mich. – Seven current/former Grand Valley State men's golfers completed the first round of the 103rd Turtle Creek Casino Michigan Open Championship on Monday at Grand Traverse Resort (The Bear Golf Course). The tournament consists of 156 golfers ranging from amateur to professionals with the field being cut in half after the completion of the second round on Tuesday. Freshman
Charles DeLong fired a 3-under 69 in the opening round and sits tied for 4th place, trailing the leader by three strokes. The Dewitt, Mich. native is set to tee off at 1:15 P.M. Tuesday afternoon.
