BIG RAPIDS, MICH. – The Grand Valley State men's golf team completed day two at the NCAA Regional tournament, ending the day in the lead with one round remaining.

GVSU holds a one stroke lead heading into the final 18 holes, climbing up one spot with a -1 performance today. They sit at three under, one shot up on Central Missouri. Winona State dropped from first to third, ending the day at even par. Washburn and Arkansas Tech are tied for fourth with a score of +7. The top four teams are guaranteed to advance to Nationals following tomorrow's final round.
Manuel Cue Vargas will enter the final round in fifth place, shooting a second round of 73 (+1) with four birdies to sit at -4 overall.
Bryce Wheeler and
Andrew Gwilliams are both tied for 14
th at even par. Wheeler made three birdies in his round of 71 (-1) and Gwilliams shot even par 72 with four birdies.
Charlie Cooley sank seven birdies, and an eagle is his round of 71 to rise to a tie for 23
rd at three over.
Ryan Gallagher is tied for 31
st at +4 following his round of 74 (+2) with four birdies.
GVSU will be paired with Central Missouri and Winona State, teeing off at 12:40 tomorrow afternoon.
