GVSU Swimming & Diving Earns CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Honors

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) selected the Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2020 semester and both the Grand Valley State men's and women's programs were honored. The GVSU women tallied a 3.56 cumulative GPA, while the Laker men recorded a 3.28 grade point average. 

Student-athletes in the women's program notched 24 GPA's of 3.0 or better, including 16 at 3.5 or higher, while the men tallied 18 GPA's of 3.0 or better and eight at 3.5 or better. 

The GVSU men's program captured its sixth consecutive GLIAC Championship and the programs combined to send 17 student-athletes to the NCAA Championships. Senior diver Mikayla Karasek captured the 3-meter diving National Championship before the meet was called off due to COVID 19. 

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
