The Grand Valley State men's tennis team captured a 5-2 victory over previously undefeated Indiana Wesleyan (18-1) on the road Friday. The Lakers improve to 2-0 on the year and will play at Indianapolis Saturday at 4 p.m in a non-conference affair.

The Lakers claimed the doubles point by claiming wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, followed by wins at No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles.
Jack Dausman and
Martin Matov claimed a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles, while
Sean Miller and
Ryan Rhoades claimed a 6-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
Jack Geissler won a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the two singles slot, followed by an impressive three-set (2-6, 7-6, 10-6) victory at No. 3 singles by Matov. Miller also claimed a three-set win (6-4, 3-6, 10-5) in the four position and
DJ Colantone earned an incredible three-set win at No. 6 singles (4-6, 7-6, 16-14) to secure the win.Â
