The Grand Valley State men's tennis team competed in the Warhawk Invitational on Friday and Saturday (Sept. 6&7) at Wisconsin-Whitewater. All twelve men competed in singles and doubles play.
Strong singles performances were shown by
Jack Dausman,
Sean Miller,
DJ Colantone,
Alex Lescoulie,
Borja De La Fuente,
Ryan Rhoades and
Nicolas Welker as they all collected two wins and one loss.
Ignacio Morera-Lucas,
Kushan Shah,
Martin Matov and
Eric Zwemer all finished with one win and one loss while
Jack Geissler dropped two matches and won one.
Dausman and Matov teamed up for three doubles matches and were victorious in each set. The teams of Zwemer and Rhoades, Miller and Colantone, Welker and Lescoulie, and De La Fuente and Shah all finished doubles play with one win and one loss. Geissler and Morera-Lucas dropped consecutive sets and won their final match against a St. Francis duo.
The team will compete this Friday and Saturday in the Hope Inivitational in Holland, Mich.
