GREENWOOD, Ind. - The #36 ranked Grand Valley State men's tennis team fell to #16 Indianapolis on Saturday afternoon (3/25) by a final score of 6-3. The loss drops the Lakers to 12-5 on the season as they enter GLIAC play next week as they travel to Houghton, Mich. to take on Michigan Tech.
Earning the sole win in doubles competition for the Lakers was the duo of Sebastian Lescoulie and
Jack Heiniger as they took down Christoph Drechsler and Magnus Mueller by a score of 9-7. With the lone victory, the Lakers would enter singles competition down 2-1 in the team score.
Unfortunately, the Lakers couldn't get much going in singles play either as they would drop four out of the six matches. Heiniger won his matchup against Marco Razo in the No. 5 spot by a score of 6-3, 6-4 for one of the two victories. In the No. 6 spot was
Nicholas Urban and Andrea Morlet. Urban was able to take down his Greyhound opponent by a score of 7-6, 6-2 in what would be the last team point Grand Valley would earn.
