LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The #36 ranked Grand Valley State men's tennis team dominated the Knights of Bellarmine University in way to a 9-0 victory. The win pushes the Lakers to 11-4 on the season with GLIAC competition starting up in one week.
In singles competition, the Lakers dropped a combined 3 sets to the Knights and won the other 48 sets played (Bellarmine forfeited the #5 and #6 singles matches). Out of the No. 1 spot, sophomore Sebastian Lescoulie won his matchup against Lauren de Boeck by a score of 6-1, 6-0. Keeping up the winning trend was freshman

Nicholas Urban won their matches against the Knights by scores of 6-1, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0, respectively.
Doubles play saw much of the same domination as the Laker duos won both of their matches by 8-1 scores (the third doubles match was forfeited by Bellarmine). The #1 pair of
Alex van de Steenoven and
Zach Phillips won their match against de Boeck and L.J. Allara. Out of the No. 2 doubles spot was Lescoulie and Heiniger to complete the 9-0 victory.
The Lakers will be back in action on Friday (3/24) against the Southern Indy in Evansville, Ind.
