#46 Lakers Win 6-3 Over Findlay

FINDLAY, Ohio – Men's tennis is off to a 2-0 start in the GLIAC as the 46th-ranked Lakers downed Findlay 6-3 at the YMCA Courts Sunday afternoon. The win gives the Lakers an 8-4 overall record and 2-0 mark in the conference, while the Oilers see their record slip to 6-7 and 0-2 against GLIAC opponents.
 
Like they did the previous day against Hillsdale, Grand Valley State jumped out to an early lead with two wins in doubles competition. Jack Heiniger/Sebastien Lescoulie won 8-2 in match No. 2 and Nicholas Urban/Michael Kaye took match No. 3 8-5 to put the Lakers up 2-1.
 
Grand Valley State took four out of six matches in singles play to claim the W over Findlay. Lescoulie took match three (6-4, 6-3), while Heiniger won match four (6-1, 6-1), Bole was victorious in match five (6-1, 6-0) and Urban won the tiebreaker to take match six (2-6, 6-3, 1-0).
 
Grand Valley State's next match is on Wednesday (Mar. 23) when they travel to take on #32 Ferris State at 6 pm.
