#2 Grand Valley State will host Truman State in a non-conference Homecoming affair Saturday in a special 4:00 p.m. start time. GVSU comes into the game with a 6-0 mark, while Truman State has won five consecutive games and is 5-1. Today's meeting will be the fourth all-time between the schools, but just the second under the name of Truman State. Truman State, which was formerly known as Northeast Missouri State, claimed victories over the Lakers in 1987 (30-24) and 1988 (36-35), but GVSU claimed a 31-15 over the Bulldogs in the most recent meeting in 2013.
• Grand Valley State is in its 46th season of football and sports a 377-137-3 all-time record. GVSU's .7321 winning percentage tops all of college football all-time, regardless of division, that have played at least 500 games. Michigan is second (.7311) and Notre Dame third (.7308).
• Grand Valley State remained #2 in the AFCA Division II Coaches' poll with 717 points after a 35-23 victory over Ferris State before a Lubbers Stadium record crowd of 16,889. NW Missouri State is #1 with all 30 first place votes and 750 points.
• Grand Valley State has been ranked in the top five of 150 AFCA Division II Coaches' polls since 2001, including 102 weeks as the number one team in the country.

#2 Grand Valley State regained possession of the Anchor-Bone Trophy with a 35-23 victory over #14 Ferris State before a Lubbers Stadium record crowd of 16,889. GVSU scored on its first two possessions, then following a pair of Bulldog field goals, the Lakers scored two TDs in under a minute, including a defensive TD to up the lead to 28-6. • Grand Valley State continues to rank among the leaders in the GLIAC and the nation in several categories. The Lakers are first in the GLIAC in scoring offense (41.2 ppg), scoring defense (13.7 ppg), turnover margin (+1.33), sacks (4.0 pg) and tackle for loss (9.3 pg).
• The Lakers have outscored their first five opponents 75-0 in the first quarter and 87-9 in the second quarter for a first half total of 162-9 (27.0 - 1.5). The Laker are the only team in college football not to yield a touchdown in the first half of a game this season. GVSU has scored in 20-of-24 quarters this season.
• GVSU has converted an incredible 38-of-70 (54.0%) attempts on 3rd down this season, while the opposition is 28-for-84 (33.0%).

• Opponents have entered the Laker redzone 16 times and scored nine times (56.0%), however, just six of those trips have ended with a TD (38.0%)
• The GVSU defense has forced 23 three-and-outs and 34 drives have been five plays or less in five games.

The other was in 2014 when Dorsey rushed for 115 yards versus Tiffin. Dorsey has 854 career rushing yards.
