Grand Valley State sophomore quarterback
Andrew Schuster was named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week it was announced by the league office. Schuster completed 10-of-15 passes for 283 yards and five touchdowns in the Lakers' 56-14 victory over West Texas A&M. Schuster's 335.1 pass efficiency rating ranked second all-time for single-game pass efficiency, while his 28.3 yards per completion is also second all-time. His 18.9 yards per attempt is fourth and five touchdown passes is eighth all-time for a single game. Schuster completed five passes that covered 34 yards or more and 50 percent of his passes resulted in a TD. He has completed 29-of-43 passes (67.4) for 527 yards and eight touchdowns with a pass efficiency rating of 231.8. His eight TD passes leads the nation.
