Game NotesAllendale, Mich. – Looking to bounce back from its third consecutive split in a GLIAC doubleheader, the Grand Valley State baseball team welcomes Lake Erie for a four-game set this weekend. The No. 17 Lakers, now 16-11 overall and 8-6 in league contests, will play doubleheaders against the Storm on Saturday (April 11) and Sunday (April 12).
First pitch for Saturday's games is scheduled for 1 p.m. EDT, while Sunday's matchups are slated to start at 12 p.m. EDT.

No One Crosses On His WatchRedshirt junior starting pitcher
Patrick Kelly has not allowed a run in 24 consecutive innings. The three-time reigning GLIAC North Division Pitcher of the Week tossed a three-hit, 7-inning shutout at Wayne State last Friday (April 3), becoming the first Laker since at least 2000 to throw seven scoreless innings in three consecutive starts. Kyle Schepel (2012) and Jeremy Dow are the only GVSU pitchers to allow zero runs in three straight starts since the turn of the century, though neither completed seven innings in each those outings.
Is That Even Possible?Matt Williams recorded four strikeouts in the ninth inning of Wednesday's win over Northwood. One of the strikeouts ended in a past ball, allowing the runner to reach first. All four Timberwolves whiffed on the final pitch of their respective at bats.
