#18 GVSU-St. Joseph's Game Cancelled

The Lakers will play their home opener this Saturday against Saginaw Valley State

Allendale, Mich. -- Due to inclement weather, the Grand Valley State baseball team's Wednesday (March 25) game at St. Joseph's (Ind.) has been cancelled. The No. 18 Lakers, who split a four-game series with Ohio Dominican during their GLIAC-opening weekend, will return to action on Saturday (March 28) and Sunday (March 29) against Saginaw Valley State. The teams will play a pair of doubleheaders, with each consisting of one 7-inning game and one 9-inning game.

The series will be GVSU's first home games of the season. The Lakers (10-7, 2-2 GLIAC) are carrying a 17-game home winning streak, tied for the longest run in school history, into the weekend.

First pitch for Saturday's doubleheader will be at 1 p.m. EDT, while Sunday's is slated for 12 p.m. EDT.
