Biography

2008: Named Most Valuable Player of Midwest Regional Tournament, as well as being named to Midwest Region All-Tournament Team...Also Earned GLIAC All-Tournament Team honors...Ranked third on team in total blocks (85) and block solos (nine), and fourth in kills (240)...Recorded a kill in 34 of 36 matches played, including career-high 17 kills in 3-1 win over Indianapolis (10/17) at GLVC-GLIAC Challenge...Followed that performance with 15 kills and five blocks in four-set win over Northern Kentucky (10/17)...Totaled nine kills in all three matches of GLIAC Tournament, adding 12 total blocks...Notched 12 kills and six blocks in four-set win over Indianapolis in Midwest Regional Semifinals (11/22)...Added 12 kills and four block assists, while hitting .391 in 3-1 win over Saginaw Valley State in Midwest Regional Championship match...Tied for team-high of 14 kills, while adding .345 hitting percentage, in NCAA Final Four loss at Concordia-St. Paul (12/5)...Tallied seven or more kills in 10 straight matches at end of season, including all eight postseason matches.


Prior to GVSU: Played two years at Michigan State University for head coach Kathy George...Appeared in 11 matches and 14 games in 2007, recording eight kills, five digs, and 11 block assists...Member of a Spartan team that went 21-14 overall, 10-10 in Big Ten play...Earned a letter in 2006 by seeing action in 14 matches and 35 games...Tallied 28 kills, and 24 total blocks, seventh-best on the team...Notched a pair of kills in collegiate debut against Eastern Michigan (Sept. 1)...In MSU upset of No. 16 Purdue, Tremain recorded five total blocks (Nov. 11)...Totaled a career-high six kills in regular-season finale at Iowa (Nov. 24)...Added four kills and three total blocks in NCAA Tournament loss to Utah (Dec. 1)...MSU went 19-12 overall, 10-10 in league play during her freshman year.

High School: Prepped at East Kentwood under head coach Roxanne Steenhuysen...Earned first team all-state honors in 2006 and all-conference laurels in 2005 and 2006...Member of 2006 Class A state champions...Lettered in track & field four times and was a three-time all-state and all-conference selection...Won 2006 state high jump title, clearing 5'4"...Competed for the Far Out Fall Club, finishing second at 2005 national tournament.
