The 2026 GVSU Football Preseason Radio Tour, presented by Coors Light, kicks off Wednesday, August 5 at the GVSU Laker Store in downdown Grand Rapids (101 Monroe Center St. NW) from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Fans can hear directly from the Voice of Laker Football, Steve Lloyd-Jones, and fourth-year head coach Scott Wooster as they preview the upcoming season.

The show will air live on WLAV (96.1 FM), twitter (@GVSUlakers), facebook (@GVSUlaker) and on the GVSU Lakers YouTube channel (@GVSUlakers). Laker fans will get inside access to the 2026 team, including updates on the roster depth chart, schedule and key opponents.

Fans attending in person can join in on the action with giveaways, fan questions, and live interaction throughout the hour. It's a great chance to get excited for the season and connect with fellow Laker fans.

The tour continues Wednesday, August 12 at Uccello's in Standale and Wednesday, August 19 at Snug Harbor in Grand Haven. 

GVSU Football games will air all season long on the GVSU Football radio network 97 LAV (96.9 FM, The Ticket West Michigan (106.1 FM), WLCS Muskegon (98.3 FM), and 1340 AM,), with pregame coverage beginning 60 minutes before kickoff. Fans can also stay up to date each week with the GVSU Football Weekly Report, broadcasting live from Main Street Pub every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. The opening show will take place Wednesday, September 2 due to the home opener taking place Thursday, September 3 versus West Texas A&M.
